Chertsey Poor Law Union Admission and Discharge Registers CD

The 14 admission and discharge registers held at Surrey History Centre for Chertsey Workhouse (SHC ref: BG1/36/1-14) cover the period from April 1894 to July 1932 although there are gaps from October 1895 to March 1899, September 1900 to April 1901, October 1906 to July 1908 and May 1910 to July 1913. The parishes covered by Chertsey Poor Law Union were Addlestone, Bagshot, Bisley, Byfleet, Chertsey, Chobham, Horsell, Lyne, Pyrford, Walton on Thames including Hersham, Weybridge, Windlesham and Thorpe. Information given includes date of admission or discharge, name, occupation, marital status, year or date of birth and death, parish from whence admitted or to which discharged, and transfers to or from other institutions.
